Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu’s Tamil comedy thriller Maareesan, which released theatrically on July 25, 2025, will stream on Netflix India from August 22, 2025, in multiple languages. The film follows Velayudham, an elderly man with Alzheimer’s, and Dhaya, a thief whose plan leads to an emotional and surprising journey blending comedy and thrills.

Directed by Sudheesh Sankar and produced by Super Good Films, the movie features Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, and others, reuniting Fahadh and Vadivelu after Maamannan (2023). Despite modest box office returns of Rs 4.54 crore in six days, Maareesan promises a wider OTT audience and an engaging watch.
