Sathyaraj and Roshini Haripriyan’s Tamil family comedy Madras Matinee, which released in theatres on June 6, received mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office, earning ₹2.72 crore worldwide against a ₹4 crore budget.

The film is scheduled to start streaming exclusively on Sun NXT from July 4. The platform shared the update on social media, highlighting the film’s tribute to everyday heroes.

Directed by Karthikeyan Mani, the story follows an aging sci-fi writer who starts writing about the life of a tuk-tuk driver, uncovering unexpected depth in ordinary lives. The cast includes Sathyaraj, Shelly Kishore, George Maryan, and others. Runtime: 2 hours 15 minutes.
