The sports drama Test revolves around how an international Test cricket match held in Chennai impacts the lives of three individuals. Directed by S. Shashikanth, this film is gearing up for a direct OTT release.

Netflix has officially announced that Test will be available for streaming from April 4. The platform shared a poster confirming its release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The tagline reads, "There is always a turning point in our lives. That is the real ‘Test’ of life." Nayanthara plays the role of Kumudha, while Siddharth appears as cricketer Arjun, alongside R. Madhavan, Meera Jasmine, and others in key roles.

With this film, Shashikanth is making his directorial debut. Additionally, Test marks Meera Jasmine’s return to Tamil cinema after a decade. It is also noteworthy that she is reuniting with Madhavan after nearly two decades. The film is based on a story written by Suman Kumar, who gained recognition as a writer for The Family Man.
