Release Overview

Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time), premiered on September 5th. While it received positive feedback in Tamil, the response in other languages was less favorable. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film features Sneha and Meenakshi Chaudhary as leads, with notable performances from Prashanth, Ajmal, and Prabhudeva. The film was produced by Archana Kalpathi under the AGS Entertainments banner, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Box Office Performance

Despite its initial hype, G.O.A.T incurred significant losses, particularly in Telugu and Kerala, where it lost over ₹30 crore.

OTT Streaming Plans

Currently, G.O.A.T is preparing for its digital premiere. Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for ₹150 crore. Given the mixed reviews, Netflix is expediting the streaming arrangements and anticipates a release in October. If the production house approves, viewers can expect to see G.O.A.T streaming in the first week of October.
