Thalapathy Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, will release on January 9, 2026, during Pongal. The Telugu film's digital rights were secured by Amazon Prime Video for Rs 121 crore, after a fierce competition with Netflix.

A remake of Bhagavanth Kesari, the movie features Vijay, Bobby Deol, and Pooja Hegde. With a production budget of Rs 400 crore, Jana Nayagan is one of India's most expensive films, with digital rights covering over 30% of the cost.

This will be Vijay's last film before he focuses on politics with his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party in the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections.
