Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam, is now streaming on Netflix in multiple languages after a poor box office run. Despite high expectations, the film received negative reviews.

Originally, Netflix had secured the digital rights for a massive ₹135 crore. However, following the film’s poor box office reception, the platform reportedly slashed the deal to ₹110 crore and levied a ₹25 lakh penalty on the producers for shortening the OTT release window.

The film features Abhirami, Joju George, and music composed by AR Rahman, but couldn't live up to the hype surrounding it. Thug Life now hopes to find a second wind among streaming audiences.
