Vaazhai, directed by Mari Selvaraj, will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar starting October 11. The film, which focuses on Selvaraj's childhood experiences in a banana plantation, was released in theaters on August 23.

The movie features a cast including Ponvel M, Kalaiyarasan, and Nikhila Vimal. After its theatrical run, Vaazhai will be available for streaming in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.

Mari Selvaraj, known for previous works like Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, received positive reviews for this film. The technical team includes cinematographer Theni Eswar and music composer Santhosh Narayanan.

Following Vaazhai, Selvaraj is set to work on a kabaddi-based sports drama titled Bison, featuring Dhruv Vikram. The release date for Bison has not yet been announced.
