Ahead of Viduthalai: Part 2’s release on December 20, director Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai: Part 1 will be available for free streaming on ZEE5 starting December 13. The 2023 period action drama, starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, had a successful theatrical run with positive reviews, particularly for Soori's lead performance.

The film, based on B. Jeyamohan's Thunaivan story, follows Soori as a rookie cop on a mission to capture the leader of an anti-police people's movement. Vijay Sethupathi appears in a cameo, with a more prominent role expected in the sequel.

Viduthalai: Part 2 will introduce new faces like Manju Warrier, Kishore, and Samuthirakani, with post-theatrical streaming rights secured by ZEE5.
