Vetrimaaran's politically charged film Viduthalai Part 2, starring Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Manju Warrier, hit theaters on December 20, 2024. The movie will be available for streaming on Zee5 starting January 17, 2025. It is a direct sequel to Viduthalai Part 1, released in 2023, and continues the story of a rookie cop (Soori) tasked with capturing Perumal Vaathiyar (Vijay Sethupathi), the leader of a people's movement. The sequel delves into Vaathiyar's backstory and rise to power.
