Usually, films are released on weekends or Thursdays, but sometimes they drop unexpectedly midweek. The quirky Telugu horror-comedy Bakasura Restaurant has unexpectedly landed online, catching viewers off guard with its sudden streaming release.

The film, which had a moderate theatrical run after its August 8 release, was scheduled for Sun Next on September 12 but is now available on Amazon Prime in Telugu.

The story follows Parameshwar (Praveen), a software engineer who dreams of starting a restaurant. To raise money, he begins a YouTube channel, and while filming in an old bungalow, he and his friends perform an occult ritual that awakens a spirit named Bakka Suri (Viva Harsha).

The spirit possesses one of his friends and unleashes endless hunger. The film unfolds as the gang tries to free themselves from the spirit and uncover its true background.
