Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty, released in theaters on September 5. The Telugu action drama follows Sheelavathi’s transformation from an oppressed woman to one seeking revenge, set in the Eastern Ghats. The film focuses on the marginalized ‘ghaati’ community forced into illegal trade by the Naidu brothers.

After underperforming at the box office, Ghaati will stream on Prime Video from September 26, 2025, in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, it was praised for Anushka’s performance despite a weak plot.

Vikram Prabhu debuts in Telugu alongside Anushka, Chaitanya Rao Madadi, and Ravindra Vijay. Scripted by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao with music by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar, Ghaati is a gripping tale of exploitation, resistance, and revenge.
