Vishwak Sen’s latest movie Laila, directed by Ram Narayan, was released in theaters on February 14th, 2025. However, the film has already secured an OTT release and will be streaming on Prime Video soon after its theatrical run concludes. Reports suggest it could arrive on the platform within three weeks, following a poor box office performance.

In Laila, Sen plays dual roles as Sonu, a barber and aspiring model, and Laila, his female disguise. The story follows Sonu, whose actions put an MLA’s life at risk, leading to public outrage. As both the police and a ruthless antagonist, Rustum, pursue him, Sonu disguises himself as Laila to escape the chaos.

Despite the film's blend of suspense and comedy, early reviews have been largely negative, with criticism about the story's structure, execution, and lack of comedic impact. The film stars Akanksha Sharma as Jenny, with a supporting cast including Vennela Kishore, Ravi Mariya, and Abhimanyu Singh as Rustum. The cinematography is by Richard Prasad, and the music is composed by Leon James.
