Actor Ravi Teja has been actively working on films, though his recent releases have not performed as expected at the box office. Earlier this month, he starred in Mass Jathara, which failed to make a significant impact. Sreeleela, who had previously impressed audiences with Dhamaka, joined him in this venture, but their pairing didn’t click this time. After its theatrical run, the movie is now set to stream on OTT, with an official announcement confirming the release.

Mass Jathara, featuring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, was crafted with commercial elements in mind. Despite this, the film’s content was considered weak, resulting in a subdued opening in theaters. Nevertheless, in the absence of other major mass entertainers, audiences still showed up with curiosity. Netflix secured the digital streaming rights even before the film’s release, and it was agreed that the movie would arrive on OTT four weeks after hitting theaters.

Regarding the plot, Laxman Bheri (Ravi Teja) is an upright railway officer stationed in Warangal. After a clash involving a minister’s son, he is transferred to Adavivaram railway station in Alluri district. In the surrounding hills, Shiva (Naveen Chandra) dominates the tribal areas. Shilavati cultivates cannabis with the local farmers and traffics it to Kolkata.

Upon Laxman’s arrival in the town, he takes on Shiva. The story revolves around how this ordinary railway sub-inspector challenges Shiva, a pivotal figure in the region’s political system, and dismantles his cannabis empire. The narrative also highlights the contributions of Thulasi (Sreeleela) and Hanuman (Rajendra Prasad) to the unfolding events.
