Mowgli OTT Release Date: Roshan Kanakala Starrer to Stream on ETV Win from Jan 1

Roshan Kanakala, son of popular anchor Suma, entered Tollywood with his debut film Bubble Gum. Although the movie did not turn into a commercial success, Roshan received positive feedback for his acting skills.

Following his first project, Roshan took a brief break before returning to audiences this year with Mowgli. The film is helmed by director Sandeep Raj, who earlier made his directorial debut with Colour Photo. Sakshi Madolkar appears as the female lead, while actor-director Bandi Saroj Kumar portrays the antagonist.

Mowgli was initially scheduled for release on December 12. However, director Sandeep Raj later mentioned that Akhanda 2 was also set to arrive on the same date, and he felt it was a mistake to clash with such a major release. Though there were discussions about postponing the film to a different date, Mowgli ultimately reached theaters a day later on December 13.

Upon release, the film received mixed responses from audiences. While a section of viewers appreciated the story and performances, others were less impressed. Notably, Bandi Saroj Kumar’s performance stood out as one of the film’s key strengths.

Despite the divided theatrical reception, Mowgli is now preparing for its OTT release in under a month. The digital streaming rights have been acquired by ETV Win. The makers confirmed that the film will begin streaming from January 1 as a New Year release. It remains to be seen whether Mowgli will find stronger appreciation on OTT compared to its theatrical run.
