Aha announced the release with a new poster featuring Raj Tarun and the caption: "Get ready to witness the power of Courage! Watch #Purushotamudu Premieres Aug 29th on #aha!" The film centers on Ram, who returns from the UK and must live as a middle-class individual for 100 days to qualify for the CEO position at his father's company. His life becomes even more complicated upon meeting Ammulu.

Released theatrically on July 26, "Purushothamudu" stars Raj Tarun and Hassini Sudhir, with supporting roles by Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, Brahmanandam, and Murali Sharma. Produced by Dr. Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat under Shree Sridevi Productions, the film features music by Gopi Sundar, editing by Marthand K Venkatesh, and cinematography by P G Vinda.
