The movie is an official Tamil adaptation of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers and is also inspired by the Akshay Kumar-starrer Khel Khel Mein (2024). While Khel Khel Mein explored this concept in a wedding setting, Ring Ring presents the same idea in a completely different backdrop.
