Rashmika Mandanna fans have a reason to celebrate as her romantic drama, The Girlfriend, is gearing up for its OTT release. Netflix has officially confirmed that the film will be available for streaming starting December 5.

Netflix shared on Instagram:

"Meet Bhooma Devi – The Girlfriend, MA Literature. Streaming on Netflix from December 5."

The movie will be accessible in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

About the Film

Directed and written by Rahul Ravindran, the story follows the emotional and intense love journey of Bhooma Devi (played by Rashmika) and her boyfriend Vikram (Dhixit Shetty). The movie also features notable performances from Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini in significant roles.

The film is produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi, with Krishnan Vasanth handling cinematography and Chhota K. Prasad as editor.

Box Office Performance & Reception

The Girlfriend hit theatres on November 7 and has earned approximately Rs 27.75 crore globally. Audiences praised the film from day one, calling it a 'masterpiece', while Rashmika’s portrayal of Bhooma received acclaim as one of the finest performances of her career.

Following this, Rashmika recently released another film titled Tamma.
