After a successful theatrical run, Gladiator II, starring Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington, will be available for free streaming starting March 12, 2025, on Prime Video. Plot Summary

Set 16 years after the death of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Rome is ruled by corrupt emperors Geta and Caracalla. A man named Hanno, enslaved by the Romans in North Africa, is revealed to be Lucius Verus, the son of Lucilla and Maximus. Trained as a gladiator, Lucius seeks revenge on the general who destroyed his kingdom. As he fights in the arena, he uncovers a plot to overthrow the emperors and eventually becomes the rightful heir to the throne, uniting Rome and restoring peace.
