Pixar announced the release via their social media, featuring a new poster with the caption: 'Contain your emotions, because #InsideOut2 is coming to @DisneyPlus September 25!

The sequel picks up with Riley as a teenager, introducing new emotions such as anxiety and envy, while still focusing on her original emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann, the film delves into Riley's experiences at high school and ice skating camp.

Inside Out 2 has already achieved significant success, grossing $1.5 billion worldwide. It boasted the second-highest opening weekend of 2024, with $155 million earned domestically and $140 million internationally. The screenplay for Inside Out 2 was written by LeFauve and Dave Holstein. Dan Scanlon, Jonas Rivera, and Pete Doctor took on the roles of executive producers, while Mark Nielsen served as the producer.
