Hrithik Roshan Applauds ‘Dhurandhar’ Despite Differing Political Views: "A Cinematic Lesson"

Hrithik Roshan recently shared his reflections on Dhurandhar via Instagram Stories, offering an in-depth perspective on the film.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which achieved over ?100 crore in its first week, has been widely praised by both audiences and industry peers. Hrithik Roshan is among the latest stars to voice his admiration.

In his review, Hrithik highlighted the film’s compelling storytelling and the intensity of its narrative.

He wrote, "I have immense love for cinema and for those who fully immerse themselves in a story, letting it take over, push, and shape their expression onto the screen. DHURANDHAR exemplifies this. Exceptional storytelling—it’s pure cinema."

While Hrithik praised the execution, he also clarified that he did not fully agree with the film’s political perspective.

He remarked, "While I might not agree with its political stance and could discuss the ethical duties of filmmakers as global citizens, I cannot overlook how much I valued and learned from this film as a student of cinema. It is truly exceptional.

Akshay Kumar Joins the Praise

Akshay Kumar also shared his excitement about the film on X, stating, "Just watched Dhurandhar and I’m completely impressed. What a gripping narrative! @AdityaDharFilms, you’ve done an incredible job. Stories need to be told in this impactful way, and it’s fantastic to see audiences loving it."

With so many top actors endorsing the film, its popularity continues to rise as it moves into its second week of release.

Dhurandhar follows Hamza Ali Mazari, played by Ranveer Singh, a mysterious young man who infiltrates Rehman Dakait’s gang with a hidden mission.

The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and other prominent actors in key roles. Released on December 5, it has quickly become one of the year’s most-discussed thrillers.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, this sequel aims to expand the story world and elevate Hamza’s mission to a larger scale.
