War 2 Movie Review
The Indian film industry is reaching new heights, and War 2 brings together Hrithik Roshan and Telugu star NTR in a high-octane spy drama. The story follows NTR, a special agent tasked with capturing Hrithik Roshan, who’s been in hiding for years. The rest unfolds in their intense encounters and surprising twists.
Story & Analysis
Ayan Mukerji crafts a spy thriller that borrows familiar beats from the genre, echoing shades of War and Pathaan. While the spectacle is ambitious, heavy reliance on CGI leaves parts feeling synthetic. The opening half grips with NTR’s dynamic entry and a well-timed interval jolt, yet the latter half sags in pace. Hrithik and NTR’s face-off sparks genuine excitement, and a clever pre-climax twist injects momentum, though the music and emotional depth don’t fully land.
Performances
- NTR stays true to his character, while Hrithik outshines his recent performances. Their on-screen rivalry is electric. Kiara Advani shines in her brief appearance, adding glamour. Supporting roles are adequate.
Technical Aspects
- Visuals are grand but overly CGI-heavy in places. The music is average, with a weak background score in key scenes. Editing could have trimmed unnecessary portions. Production values are strong.
Plus Points
- NTR & Hrithik’s performances
- Interval twist
- Fight sequences
Minus Points
- Weak second half
- Average music
Rating: 2.5/5
