Lubber Pandhu A FamilyFriendly Cricket Film Review
Lubber Pandhu, a Tamil sports family drama directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, hit theatres on September 20 and has garnered praise from both critics and audiences.

The film, centered around cricket, collected ₹3.5 crore in its first three days, with viewers appreciating its fresh take on the sport. Unlike other cricket-based films, Lubber Pandhu stands out, appealing particularly to youth and family audiences. The film features Harish Kalyan, Dinesh Ravi, Devadarshini Chetan, and Geetha Kailasam in pivotal roles. Director Tamizharasan, in his debut, also included tributes to the late actor Vijayakanth, with Dinesh's character portrayed as a staunch admirer.
Harish Kalyan, speaking to The Hindu, shared his excitement for the project, drawn to its sports backdrop and rural setting, both of which presented new challenges for him. He highlighted that the film’s emotional depth goes beyond just cricket, focusing on the internal conflicts of its characters.
