Sirai OTT Review: The Tamil film Sirai, currently streaming on ZEE5, has been receiving a positive response from audiences, including Telugu viewers. Blending emotional depth with crime-thriller elements, the film has emerged as a notable addition to the OTT space.

Starring Vikram Prabhu, Sirai premiered on OTT on January 23, with its Telugu version made available from January 26. Made on a modest budget of approximately Rs 3 crore, the film reportedly earned over Rs 30 crore during its theatrical run, reflecting strong audience interest.

Vikram Prabhu portrays Kadiravan, also known as Srinu, a police constable tasked with escorting an undertrial prisoner, Abdul Rauf, to court in connection with a murder case. A sudden escape and the events that follow form the core of the narrative, taking the story in an unexpected direction.

As Kadiravan uncovers the truth behind Abdul’s innocence, the film explores flaws within the judicial system, inter-religious love, and the emotional conflict between a mother and a lover. The love story between Abdul and Kalaiyarasi stands out as one of the most touching aspects of the film.

The performances are a major highlight. Vikram Prabhu delivers a restrained and natural portrayal of a conflicted policeman, while Akshay Kumar impresses with a deeply emotional performance as Abdul. Anishma Anil Kumar also leaves a strong impact in pivotal scenes.

Director Suresh Rajakumari effectively translates the emotional core of the story onto the screen. The background score and music composed by Justin Prabhakaran further elevate the narrative.
