Laila Movie Review: Vishwak Sen's Performance Outshines the Routine Story
Laila is the latest film starring Vishwak Sen, directed by Ramanarayan and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner. The movie, which features Vishwak Sen in a lady getup, was released as a Valentine’s Day special. Expectations were high, but the Twitter reviews were mixed.
The film’s story lacks depth, resembling the old "Chintakaya Pacchadi" style. Despite this, Vishwak Sen's performance, especially in comedy scenes, stands out. In the first half, the movie makes references to Megastar movies like Khaidi and Jagadekaveerudu. However, the second half feels forced with routine comedy, a predictable screenplay, and unremarkable music. While Vishwak’s lady getup is praised, the film's storyline seems to limit his potential. Many netizens feel that while the movie has two unique characters, only Vishwak's performance is worth noting.
