The second half, which focuses on the father-son bond and the hero’s struggles, stands out and strikes an emotional chord. The film manages to stay engaging despite familiar tropes in romantic dramas. It evokes memories of early 2000s youthful romances, yet distinguishes itself with its heartfelt execution.
Performances:
- Kavin delivers a career-best performance, especially in scenes depicting emotional vulnerability and paternal affection.
- Aparna Das is equally compelling, balancing strength and regret.
- VTV Ganesh’s comic timing adds levity.
- Supporting cast including Bhagyaraj and Aishwarya Bhaskaran lend solid support.
Technical Aspects:
- Cinematography is clean and effective.
- Background score enhances emotional moments, though the songs are relatively average.
- Some portions could have benefited from more precise editing.
- Telugu dubbing is done well, making it feel native.
