The meticulous restoration process spanned almost a year, utilizing a 35mm print carefully preserved by NFAI. Rekha’s award-winning performance and the film’s timeless music remain beloved.
Rekha called the film a timeless part of Indian cinema, while director Muzaffar Ali praised its portrayal of a lost culture.
