The re-release news was confirmed by Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, son of the film’s producer, in a viral Instagram exchange. When a fan requested a 4K version, Niranj responded, "That’s also happening."

Earlier, Maniyanpilla Raju had stated that he wasn't interested in revisiting past projects and preferred focusing on new ventures. Additionally, Niranj clarified rumors about his father's health, stating that while Maniyanpilla Raju had battled throat cancer, he was recovering and would soon regain his strength.
