Mohanlal's much-awaited movie L2 Empuraan is set to hit theaters on March 27, 2025. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, this film is a sequel to the blockbuster Lucifer. The teaser, released in January, received a great response. The movie will release simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu.

Written by Murali Gopi, L2 Empuraan is produced by Subaskaran, Antony Perumbavoor, and Gokulam Gopalan under the banners of Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinema, and Sri Gokulam Movies. Mohanlal reprises his role as Qureshi-Abram (Stephen Nedumpally), with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Indrajith Sukumaran playing key roles. Shot in anamorphic format, the film promises an epic cinematic experience. The music by Deepak Dev has also garnered attention. Expectations are high for this sequel, which completes its two-year-long production journey.
