Malayalam superstar Mohanlal recently shared his thoughts on social media about the 4K re-release of his 2000 film Devadoothan, directed by Siby Malayil. On July 29, he posted a new poster of the remastered version, expressing his sentiments, "Revisited this film after 24 years. Every frame feels touched by Devadoothan’s blessing. Congratulations to the entire team. Devadoothan4K."

Devadoothan, a cherished film for Mohanlal, tells the supernatural love story of Vishal Krishnamoorthy, a music composer haunted by a mysterious spirit that influences his music. The film features Jaya Prada, Vineeth Kumar, Murali, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Jagadish in pivotal roles.

The re-release premiered on July 26 and, due to high demand, the number of screens showing the film increased from 56 to 100. The filmmakers thanked the public for their support and released a new poster to announce the expanded availability.
