Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha, the acclaimed Mammootty film directed by Ranjith, is set to return to theaters in a 4K Atmos format on September 20. Following successful re-releases of classics such as Spadikam, Manichitrathazhu, and Devadoothan, this mystery drama promises fans an enhanced experience of its gripping narrative and Mammootty’s standout performance.

The re-release was announced with a new poster, which stated: “‘Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha’ AGAIN PALERI 4K ATMOS RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT 07-09-2024, 7 PM SATURDAY With the latest sound technical excellence of cinema! Re-release 4K.

Adapted from T.P. Rajeevan's novel, the film explores Kerala's first recorded murder case. Mammootty plays three roles—Ahmed Haji, Haridas, and Khalid Ahmed—one of whom is a private detective investigating a murder from the night of his birth. The film, known for its intense themes of caste, politics, and corruption, originally received an ‘A’ certificate and won multiple Kerala State Film Awards, including Best Film and Best Actor for Mammootty. Shwetha Menon and Mythili also received praise for their performances.
