Advanced Booking for Vikram's 'Thangalaan' Begins in Kerala

The highly anticipated Tamil film Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram and directed by Pa Ranjith, is scheduled to release on August 15. Advanced booking for the film commenced in Kerala on August 10, managed by Sree Gokulam Movies. Following recent landslides in Wayanad, Kerala promotions were canceled, and the promotion funds will be donated to the Chief Minister’s relief fund. Thangalaan is being heavily promoted in Tamil and Telugu before its release. The film's trailer has generated significant excitement.

Based on real events, Thangalaan portrays the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold fields during pre-independence India. The cast includes Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and others. National Award winner GV Prakash Kumar composed the music, with A Kishor Kumar handling the cinematography. The film, made on a budget of Rs 100-150 crore, will also stream on Netflix after its theatrical release, with the premiere date yet to be announced.
