The 2002 hit film Khadgam, starring Ravi Teja and Prakash Raj, is making a comeback to theatres. Director Krishna Vamsi announced on his X account that the re-release is scheduled for October 2.

Produced by Sunkara Madhu Murali, Khadgam tells the story of an aspiring actor (Ravi Teja) and his best friend (Prakash Raj), who join forces with a principled police officer to fight terrorism. The film also stars Meka Srikanth, Sonali Bendre, and Sangeetha Krish.

Acclaimed for its powerful narrative, Khadgam was a critical and commercial success, winning five Nandi Awards, including Best Direction and Best Film on National Integration. The film was later remade in Hindi as Insaan (2005).

This follows the successful re-release of Krishna Vamsi's Murari, which drew large audiences across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
