While fans eagerly await Mahesh Babu's new film, his 23-year-old movie 'Murari' is making a significant impact at the box office. Re-released in 4K format, 'Murari' is showing in South Indian states and North America, where it has received an amazing response. The film has sold over 2,100 tickets, generating US $28,180 (approximately Rs 23.65 lakh). This amount is expected to increase significantly when the shows begin tomorrow, potentially placing it among the highest-grossing re-released films.

Scheduled for release on September 9th, 'Murari' has already surpassed 1 lakh tickets on BookMyShow alone. The film follows the titular character's story, played by Mahesh Babu, whose family suffers from a curse that claims the heir's life every 48 years, with Murari being the current generation's target. The film also stars Sonali Bendre, Lakshmi, and Sukumari and is directed by Krishna Vamsi, known for directing 'Shakti: The Power with Karisma Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan.
