Rishab Shetty's Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 will be released worldwide on October 2, 2025. The prequel to the hit film Kantara will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Hindi, and English.

The announcement came with a striking poster featuring Rishab in an intense avatar, holding an axe and trident.

Rishab, who won the Best Actor award at the 70th National Film Awards for Kantara, expressed his gratitude for the recognition and the audience's support.

The original Kantara (2022), set in Dakshina Kannada, is streaming on Netflix and Prime Video.
