Peacemaker season 2, one of the most anticipated DCU shows, will stream on Max in August 2025, right after the release of Superman in July 2025. James Gunn confirmed that the events of Superman will directly influence Peacemaker, with the show continuing immediately after the film.

HBO CEO Casey Bloys confirmed the August release during a recent announcement, and the first footage from the upcoming season was included in a Max sizzle reel, teasing John Cena's return as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, alongside his team of quirky characters.

While the series will retain much of its original tone, Gunn noted there will be a few minor differences in season 2, which picks up directly where season 1 left off. The season will also introduce new characters like Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) in a crossover with Creature Commandos.
