Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, released on December 5, became a huge success, breaking records and grossing 1831 crores, making it the second highest-grossing film after Dangal. With Sankranthi movies like Game Changer, Daku Maharaj, and Sankranthiki Saayaram releasing in January, Pushpa 2 surprised the industry by announcing a re-release on January 11, with an additional 20 minutes of footage.
