The Tollywood film Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which became an industry hit this Sankranthi, is set to make its television premiere. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the movie stars Venkatesh alongside Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chowdhury. It garnered over Rs. 300 crores at the box office and had audiences laughing across age groups. While big films usually hit OTT platforms after a month and TV a few months later, Sankranthiki Vasthunam will be aired on Zee Telugu. The channel has announced the premiere for March 1 at 6 pm. Zee Telugu hopes this movie will boost TV ratings, which have dropped due to the rise of OTT platforms.
