Mumbai: A controversy has erupted between director Anil Sharma and actress Ameesha Patel over the climax of Gadar 2. Ameesha Patel shared several videos on social media, accusing Anil Sharma of changing the film’s ending without informing her. She claimed that, during the narration, the director had told her that her character, Sakina, would kill the villain, but later, he denied saying this. Questioning his statement, she wrote, "These are the narration videos of Gadar 2. He told me that Sakina would kill the villain, but now he denies it. How can he do this?"

Gadar 2, the sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, is a period action drama starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. The film was a massive success upon its release last year. In an interview, Ameesha alleged that the director changed the climax without informing her. She claimed that initially, her character, Sakina, was supposed to kill the antagonist, which she liked. However, during the shoot, Anil Sharma changed the scene and made Charanjeet (played by Utkarsh Sharma) the one to kill the villain, a change she only discovered on set. Her statements quickly went viral.

Responding to these allegations, Anil Sharma denied Ameesha's claims in a recent interview. He stated that there was never a plan for Sakina to go to Pakistan. He questioned her logic, saying, "Why would Tara Singh (Sunny Deol’s character) take his wife along to rescue his kidnapped son? Pakistan is not a tourist destination. The story was always clear, and nothing was changed last minute."
