Ikkis Movie Trailer Out: Dharmendra’s Final Film Showcases 1971 War Heroism

Veteran Bollywood icon Dharmendra appears in his final cinematic project, Ikkis. The film is a biographical drama inspired by the life of Param Vir Chakra recipient Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The lead character is portrayed by Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan.

Ikkis was initially planned for a December release, while other films such as Avatar and Dhurandhar were postponed. The filmmakers have now confirmed that the movie will hit theaters on January 01. To mark this announcement, the production team has released a fresh trailer. The narrative unfolds against the historical setting of the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
The movie highlights the brave journey of Arun Khetarpal, who laid down his life for the nation at just 21 years of age. He was honored posthumously with the Param Vir Chakra for his exceptional courage on the battlefield. Dharmendra essays the role of Arun Khetarpal’s father, Brigadier M.L. Khetarpal. His portrayal captures the deep emotion of a soldier father who takes pride in his son’s sacrifice for the country, delivering a powerful and moving performance.
