Mrunal Thakur once again found herself at the centre of dating speculation after her co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi playfully teased her about her alleged “Chennai connection” during a recent promotional event.
Mrunal has been rumoured to be dating Tamil superstar Dhanush since August last year, when the two were reportedly spotted together at the Son of Sardaar 2 premiere. The rumours resurfaced during the promotions of her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein.
At the event, a reporter mentioned that some “Chennai-related” questions had been asked. Siddhant immediately quipped, pointing towards Mrunal, asking whether the question was meant for her or for him. While Mrunal clarified that the question was directed at Siddhant, the light-hearted exchange prompted laughter from those present. Mrunal appeared visibly shy, smiling and blushing as the teasing continued.
The moment gained attention as it comes amid ongoing speculation linking Mrunal to Dhanush, who is currently based in Chennai. The rumours were further fuelled when Dhanush commented on the teaser of Do Deewane Seher Mein, writing, “Looks and sounds good.” Mrunal responded with heart and sunflower emojis, adding to fan curiosity.
Recently, reports also claimed that Mrunal and Dhanush were planning to get married on Valentine’s Day. However, a source close to the actor dismissed the claims, stating that there is no truth to the rumours. The source noted that Mrunal has a film release scheduled around the same time, followed by another Telugu project in March, making such speculation unlikely.
Do Deewane Seher Mein, directed by Ravi Udyawar, is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal and Bharat Kumar Ranga under the banners of Zee Studios, Rancorp Media and Bhansali Productions. The film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, with Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta and Ayesha Raza in pivotal parts. It is slated for a theatrical release on February 20.
