The teaser of Ramayana, one of the most ambitious projects in the Indian film industry, was unveiled on April 2, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
The teaser delivers a powerful narrative tone, highlighting Lord Ram as a symbol of righteousness and justice. It emphasizes his enduring legacy as Maryada Purushottam, a revered figure who has inspired generations for thousands of years.
Visually, the teaser stands out with its high-quality graphics and cinematic presentation. Several key moments from the epic are briefly showcased, including the iconic sequence of Lord Ram lifting Lord Shiva’s bow, his exile journey, and glimpses of battles against evil forces. These scenes collectively depict the transition from Ayodhya to the forest and the larger conflict against demons.
Interestingly, the teaser primarily focuses on the character of Lord Ram, while keeping other major characters under wraps. Neither Sita nor Ravana is fully revealed. However, in a striking closing shot, Ravana’s presence is hinted at through a partial rear glimpse, adding intrigue and anticipation.
The film also stars Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. With a runtime of approximately 2 minutes and 28 seconds, the teaser has already received positive reactions from audiences, who have praised its scale and visual appeal.
Produced by Namit Malhotra, the film’s music is composed by global music legends Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman.
The first installment of Ramayana is scheduled for release during Diwali this year, followed by the second part on Diwali next year, making it a grand cinematic saga to look forward to.
