Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, India: Horror cinema is witnessing a strong surge in popularity within the film industry. Several horror films released this year have achieved notable box office success, reflecting the growing audience interest in the genre.
Following this trend, the horror thriller Amaravathiki Aahwanam (Invitation to Amaravati) promises to deliver an intense, edge-of-the-seat experience through its gripping storyline and engaging narrative style. The film features Siva Kantamneni, Dhanya Balakrishna, Esther, and Supritha in key roles. It is being produced by Muppa Venkaiah Chowdary and presented by Rambabu Yadav, KS Shankar Rao, and R Ramachandran under the Lighthouse Cine Magic banner, with Venkateswara Rao as producer.
Directed by GVK, the film was shot across multiple locations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh. Visual effects work and other post-production processes are progressing rapidly. The makers are preparing for an extensive promotional campaign ahead of a grand theatrical release. As part of this effort, the team unveiled the film’s glimpses on Friday. The preview showcases Dhanya Balakrishna in a powerful and intense role, while the repeated dialogues and visuals add a strong thrill factor.
Addressing the media, lead actor Siva Kantamneni stated that the positive response to the film’s title greatly boosted the team’s enthusiasm. He noted that filming was completed across three states and expressed satisfaction with the inclusion of experienced senior actors alongside a well-chosen cast. He credited director Jeevike for shaping the film effectively through his creative vision and confirmed that VFX work is currently in progress. He assured audiences that the film will offer a gripping theatrical experience and mentioned plans to complete post-production soon for a large-scale release.
Director Jeevike added that recent horror films have performed well commercially, and said Invitation to Amaravati stands out due to its unique narrative approach. He explained that each character has been written with equal significance. He praised J Prabhakar Reddy’s cinematography and Sai Babu Talari’s editing for strengthening the film’s impact. He also highlighted that Padmanabh Bhardwaj’s music and background score will immerse viewers in a complete horror atmosphere.
