Anantha Teaser Out: Film on Sri Sathya Sai Baba Directed by Suresh Krishna

The divine influence of Puttaparthi Sri Sathya Sai Baba continues to inspire countless devotees across the world. A new film titled Ananta is being created to portray his miraculous life and teachings. The project is being produced to mark the birth centenary celebrations of the revered spiritual leader.

Veteran actors Jagapathi Babu and Suhasini have taken on the lead roles, while acclaimed filmmaker Suresh Krishna is directing the movie and also crafting its storyline. Pa Vijay has penned both the dialogues and lyrics, and Girish Krishnamurthy is producing the film.

A special teaser launch event was organized on Monday evening at the Music Academy. The teaser was unveiled by Ratnakar, representing the Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba National Trust.

During the event, director Dr. Suresh Krishna shared an emotional story:

“In 2009, a friend suggested I make a biopic on Sathya Sai Baba. Later, when I visited Baba’s Samadhi in Puttaparthi, I felt a divine connection—as though Baba himself was asking, ‘Where were you all these years? Now you have come.’”

He further revealed, “Around 3:30 a.m. one night last year, Baba appeared in my dream and blessed me with vibhuti (holy ash). A friend later mentioned that he had discussed the idea of making a film on Sai Baba with Ratnakar, under my direction. Even producer Girish Krishnamurthy said that Baba had appeared in his dream with the same message. That’s how Ananta began—on the sacred occasion of Sai Baba’s centenary.”
