Chiranjeevi’s ‘Kodama Simham’ Returns in 4K Glory – Re-Release Trailer Out Now

Interestingly, Kodama Simham was the first South Indian film to be dubbed in English, titled Hunters of the Indian Treasury.

The iconic Telugu film Kodama Simham, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, is making a grand comeback to cinemas. Originally released in 1990, this cowboy-themed entertainer is set to re-release on October 21, featuring upgraded visuals and new digital enhancements, including 4K resolution.

The latest re-release trailer has already been unveiled, stirring excitement among fans. Directed by K. Murali Mohan Rao, the film features Sonam, Vani Viswanath, Radha, Sujatha, and Annapurna in prominent roles, while it was produced by Kaikala Nageswara Rao. For this special edition, the movie has been remastered with 5.1 digital sound, giving audiences a richer cinematic experience.

Interestingly, Kodama Simham was the first South Indian film to be dubbed in English, titled Hunters of the Indian Treasury. Before this film, cowboy roles in Telugu cinema were notably portrayed by Ghattamaneni Krishna, but Kodama Simham marked Chiranjeevi’s debut as a full-fledged cowboy hero.

Upon its initial release, the film achieved tremendous success at the box office and celebrated 100 days in 20 theaters. The soundtrack, featuring timeless hits like “Japam Japam, Konga Japam,” “Tikkiligintala Ragam,” and “Gum Gumayinchu Koncham,” remains popular even today.
