Manchu Manoj Pan India Film David Reddy Teaser Released, Pre Independence Action Drama
Manchu Manoj stars as David Reddy in a pan India pre independence film. Teaser is out, featuring intense dialogue, action visuals, and period backdrop.
Manchu Manoj is currently working on a pan India film. It is unclear whether the projects earlier announced under different titles are still moving forward. In this film, Manoj will portray the character named David Reddy. The title itself does not appear to be particularly distinctive, but it is known that the film’s setting will be different from his previous works. The story is set in the pre independence era. Recently, a glimpse titled David Reddy was released, but it did not present anything noticeably fresh. Visually, it resembles typical mass action films rather than a period drama set before independence. The film’s opening teaser has now been unveiled.
The teaser begins with a voiceover stating that loud sounds have been coming from a factory for a long time, even during the night. A scene follows where a child asks his father about his work, and the visuals reveal the nature of that work alongside the dialogue. The response explains that they are creating speed. References are made to Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh, followed by the mention of another figure who embodies that same intensity. He is described as an enemy of the British and an enemy among Indians as well. The narration recalls the First World War and the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, highlighting a time when many Indians could not resist. It states that only one man stood ready while millions were filled with rage. Bloodshed, burning anger, and deep pain are emphasized, with the voiceover saying he forged that power with his own hands. The British labeled Indians as dogs, and he transformed into a war dog. These visuals unfold entirely under a strong voiceover.
Manoj’s line, “A David Reddy India Hai,” is featured prominently in the teaser. Overall, the teaser does not offer anything particularly new, and the final impact will depend on how the complete film turns out.
In addition to Manoj, the film stars Maria Raboshpka, R Parthiban, and Kanchana in key roles. The movie is directed by Yakkanti under the supervision of Hanuma Reddy. Bharat Motkuri and Nallagangula Venkat Reddy are producing the project.
