The show Paadutha Theeyaga, which was started by the legendary singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam in 1996, became a huge success. This show has been running continuously for several years. After Balasubrahmanyam's passing, his son S.P. Charan has been hosting the show. Singers Sunitha and Chandrabose serve as the judges. Recently, music director Keeravani was also present for the Silver Jubilee series. Recently, singer Pravasthi made shocking remarks about the show. Pravasthi, who gained recognition as an excellent singer from a young age, has been praised by legendary singers like Balasubrahmanyam, Sushila, Janakamma, and Chitra for her talent.

However, Pravasthi was recently eliminated from the show, which surprised the audience, given her remarkable singing skills. Reacting to her elimination, Pravasthi posted several updates on her Instagram story. She advised singers who want to join Paadutha Theeyaga to only go if they have recommendations or references from the judges; otherwise, they will face injustice and mental agony.

Following her posts, some people attacked Pravasthi personally. She responded strongly, saying, "If you have the guts, message me from your original account, not fake accounts." She further mentioned that her fellow ex-contestants were creating fake accounts to insult her, and when she tried to call them, they didn’t pick up. She also shared that the judges on the show treated her poorly and made jokes about her body. She recalled her previous experiences in Tamil shows, saying such things never happened there. She mentioned how the production team mistreated her, asking her to expose herself and tie sarees in an uncomfortable manner. Pravasthi also accused the costume designer of body-shaming her, saying that they criticized her for not fitting into their clothing. She revealed that such incidents started happening only after Jnapika Productions joined the show in 2017.
