Netflix has just released a trailer for the nature documentary series Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough. Previously exclusive to Sky TV, this series will now be available on Netflix, broadening its audience.

Series Structure

The series features three episodes, each focusing on different aspects of sound in the animal kingdom:

Episode 1: 'Hunters and Hunted' – Explores how animals use sound for hunting and avoiding predators, including tactics for masking sounds and confusing predators.

Episode 2: 'Love and Rivals' – Examines the role of sound in animal courtship and mating behaviors, similar to human romantic rituals.

Episode 3: 'Finding a Voice' – Focuses on how young animals use sound to communicate with their parents, akin to human infants' cries and coos.

Release Date

The series will premiere on August 7, 2024.
