The Lion King: Mufasa is one of Disney's most ambitious projects and is currently in the filming stage. The movie also features Aaron Stone and Kelvin Harrison Jr. The Telugu trailer for the film has been released, showcasing Mahesh Babu's dubbing for the pivotal role of Mufasa. Mahesh remarked on the evocative nature of the dialogues, noting, "Sometimes this cold air reminds me of home, even as those memories start to fade." He praised the impressive dialogues and visuals in the trailer, which he finds highly engaging.
Mahesh expressed his enthusiasm about voicing Mufasa, stating, "This is a new chapter for a beloved character. I'm thrilled to have contributed my voice to Mufasa in Telugu. It holds a special place for me as I'm a huge fan of this classic." The film, produced with a substantial budget, is set to be released worldwide on December 20th, just in time for Christmas.
In the Hindi version of the film, Shah Rukh Khan voices Mufasa, with his son AbRam providing the voice for Mufasa's childhood. Shah Rukh commented, "Mufasa has an incredible legacy as the king of the forest. Playing this role is particularly meaningful to me as a father. The film chronicles Mufasa's journey from childhood to his rise as a king. After our work on The Lion King in 2019, it's special to revisit this role, especially since I get to work alongside my children." SRK's elder son, Aryan Khan, has also contributed his voice to the role of Simba.
