Scream 7 Trailer Out: Ghostface Returns to Haunt Sidney

The spine-chilling Scream franchise is making a dramatic comeback with its seventh installment. On October 30, just ahead of Halloween, the makers released the first trailer of Scream 7, reigniting the terror of the infamous Ghostface killer. The teaser features Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, once again stepping into their iconic roles as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers.

The trailer promises an intense rollercoaster of suspense, emotion, and horror. Alongside Campbell and Cox, familiar faces like David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley are also seen returning, much to the excitement of long-time fans.

What Happens in the Trailer

The promo opens with a chilling sequence where a couple checks into a “psycho killer B&B,” only to find themselves face-to-face with not one, but two Ghostfaces. Soon after, Sidney receives a terrifying phone call — the killer warns that her daughter, portrayed by Isabel May, is the next victim. Determined to protect her child, Sidney must revisit her haunting past and once again confront the masked terror.

The official synopsis reveals:

“When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the peaceful town where Sidney Prescott has rebuilt her life, her worst nightmares resurface. As her daughter becomes the next target, Sidney must face her darkest fears and end the bloodshed once and for all.”

The trailer hints at an intense face-off between Sidney Prescott and the new Ghostface, who seems hell-bent on destroying everything in his path.

Directed by Kevin Williamson, Scream 7 arrives three years after Scream VI. The much-anticipated horror sequel is set to release in theaters on February 27, 2026.
