Vijay Sethupathi competing with Prabhas' Kalki in Tamil

Vijay Sethupathi's 50th film "Maharaja," directed by Nithilan Saminathan and produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy under Passion Studios, has recently captivated audiences. Starring Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, Abhirami, and Mamata Mohan Das, the movie released in Tamil and Telugu, achieving tremendous success with a fresh storyline. Globally, "Maharaja" has grossed over 100 crore rupees, with 76 crores from India and 25 crores from overseas.

Meanwhile, Prabhas' "Kalki" continues its successful run in Tamil cinemas, amassing around 40 crores in gross collections so far. Despite "Maharaja" enjoying three weeks of screening, "Kalki" presents stiff competition. As the weeks progress, "Kalki" looks poised to surpass the 100 crore mark in Tamil, potentially outpacing "Maharaja" in the long run.
